“Burn with my Love” is an intimate portrayal of raw, unfiltered emotions. Through delicate, carefully layered arrangements, Bludog guides the listener through a landscape of intense feelings—grappling with the duality of loss and reconnection in an unfamiliar place. The song builds from tender, soothing chords to a climactic peak of distortion and noise, capturing the emotional rollercoaster of burning everything down only to treasure the ashes.
Influenced by the melodic sensitivity and lyrical vulnerability of artists like Phoebe Bridgers, Big Thief, and Slow Pulp, “Burn with my Love” showcases Bludog’s ability to turn personal experiences into universally relatable soundscapes. The track opens with gentle acoustic strumming, creating an inviting warmth, before evolving into a cathartic explosion of noise, reflecting the tumultuous journey of heartbreak and healing.
Lucía draws much of her inspiration from her time in Paris, where the distance from her home in Madrid helped shape her perspective on the emotions she left behind. “I wanted the song to reflect the experience of being in a foreign city—how that distance transforms the way you see everything you’ve left behind. It’s about long bus rides, the conflicted desire to burn everything to the ground while still holding onto every memory,” she explains.

Bludog composed and recorded “Burn with my Love” during a return visit to Paris, a city where she had lived for a year and where the cold winter months influenced both the atmosphere and mood of the song. Every chord, every lyric resonates with the melancholy of what was lost and the joy of having experienced something so profound.
The track was brought to life with the collaboration of Madrid-based producer Jorge Antequera, known for his work as Jayco Jr.. The production process spanned across different studios in Amsterdam and Madrid, resulting in a soundscape that reflects the influences of these two cities, adding depth and richness to the overall composition.

Bludog is not new to the Madrid music scene—she’s also a member of Las Moskito and Bichobola, but with this release, she steps into the spotlight as a distinct voice within the underground scene. “Burn with my Love” marks a powerful debut for Bludog, signaling the start of what promises to be a unique and compelling solo journey.
“Burn with my Love isn’t just a love song; it’s about how love dissolves and reforms in another place, in another shape, when you least expect it,” says Lucía.
